The minimum age is 18
The Gambling Act sets the minimum age for betting participation at 18. The same age threshold applies to entry to physical betting points. An adult must not open or use an account on behalf of a child.
18+. Betting can cause addiction and financial harm. Do not use money needed for everyday expenses.
Expect identity and account checks
Online operators must have procedures to verify adulthood and register players. Gambling providers also have anti-money-laundering duties. They may need to establish who you are, understand transactions and ask for evidence about funds.
Read the operator’s identification instructions before sending documents. Use its verified account or support route; do not send identity documents to this directory. A payment method advertised as convenient does not remove these checks.
Residents, visitors and overseas access
A Ministry listing identifies the operator’s position; it does not answer every question about your own circumstances. Before opening an account, check which identity documents and address details the operator accepts, where you must be located and whether your circumstances satisfy its rules.
Do not assume that a tourist, overseas resident or foreign-document holder is eligible simply because the website opens. A Polish permission also does not establish permission to bet from every other country.
Check restrictions before depositing
- Match the exact address using the website checker.
- Read the operator’s approved rules and eligibility requirements.
- Confirm identity and payment ownership requirements.
- Read the limits, breaks and exclusion options.
- Check how to withdraw and how to raise a complaint.
