Talk to a support service
Daily, 17:00–22:00, Poland time. Call charges depend on your telephone tariff.
This service is listed by the National Centre for Prevention of Addictions (KCPU). Its public information is in Polish; ask about English-language assistance rather than assuming it is available. If the number cannot be reached from your network, use KCPU’s website to find another local route.
Take a break from access and spending
- Stop placing bets and avoid trying to recover losses.
- Ask the operator for a break or self-exclusion, and save its confirmation.
- Ask your bank whether it offers gambling-payment controls.
- Turn off promotional messages and remove betting apps if useful.
- Tell someone you trust and protect money for essentials.
These steps can reduce access while you seek support; they do not replace treatment or guarantee that every route is blocked.
Check the reach of self-exclusion
Ask which account, websites and products an exclusion covers, how long it lasts, what happens to your balance and how reopening is handled. Contact every operator you use. Do not assume that one operator’s exclusion automatically applies across the Polish market.
Online operators must have approved responsible gambling rules with age verification, registration and activity-control mechanisms. Read the rules for the specific tools and arrangements available to you.
Supporting someone else
You can encourage someone to contact a specialist and help them organise practical support. Avoid taking on gambling debts or providing money to chase losses. A local treatment service can advise on help for affected family members.
